The Freedom Seekers Project strives to reveal the shape of enslaved flight in the age of American Independence by mapping information found in British and U.S. archival records.
It is part of a growing effort to preserve the actions and ambitions of those who claimed the promises of the Revolution for themselves through their harrowing escapes from bondage.
